At Random Moments…

Two of my favorite people on the planet: my daughter BigJoni and her husband Garn.
“The returning of awareness to itself, its remembrance of itself—being aware of being aware—is the essence of meditation and prayer, and the direct path to lasting peace and happiness.” -Rupert Spira
If you’d like to be a little happier, overall, be more attentive to routine activities.
Crossing the street, you lift your foot to the sidewalk without thinking.
Lifting a glass to drink, you effortlessly apply just the right pressure.
In those simple examples—and indeed hidden in everything you do—is the secret to peaceful living. All you have to do is be aware.
When the mind adds a resistance-thought: “I wish this wasn’t happening,” the thought is the problem.
Awareness itself is trouble-free.
Note the peculiar quality of awareness: it is naturally peaceful.
In addition to being more aware throughout the day, at random moments, pause, and: Just be silently aware of your body.
