Awake

Petey and Gert. Petey said he could not remember feeling happier.

“You have to start with what you are, where you are now. You are aware of the present state. You are now, you are not past, you are not future, but you are now. In that state of awareness, you don’t need to cling to a concept about who you are and what you will be. Concept cannot exist in the present state, but awareness is very much there.” -Chögyam Trungpa

Supremely grounded in the present, in what is happening, is the way to be.

Nothing is more destructive than worrying, which is always about the past or the future. Don’t think about what isn’t happening.

Notice thoughts that are not helpful, and let them go. Simply noticing thoughts … lets them go. It’s truly magical.

Concepts, such as like or dislike, mine or not-mine, are absent in awareness. 

Living changes for the better as you surrender the comparing, judging mind, to awareness.

Being awake in the present is the sole requirement for peaceful living.
