Be There Always

I turned into a bird.

I can’t remember where I found this…

Disciple: How am I peace and consciousness?

Do you see?

D: Yes.

How can you prove it?

D: I see objects and so I am convinced that I see.

Here you must remember that when you see objects “you” do not “possess” sight—you are actually the state of seeing itself. Do you admit that?

D: Yes.

Now apply that logic to your own self. Do you know your perceptions, thoughts and feelings?

D: Yes, of course.

What is your state when you know them? Examine it carefully and tell me.

D: I am the state of pure knowing, which is the sensation or feeling of knowing, which is always present before a sensation is labeled or “known.”

Then, is there any moment in all the three states when you are not the pure knowing of what is?

D: No, I am there always.

What is the relationship between that knowing and yourself?

D: (After a pause.) That knowing can only be myself or my real nature.

Now, do you see that you are Knowing itself?

D: Yes. Perfectly.

Be there always.
