Because Awareness Is…
BigJoni, BigDaddyE, Mother Dear, and DaddyO in Quincy, IL for the Masters, probably late ’80’s.
“Abandon all conceptualization and stay silent and attentive. Be earnest about it and all will be well with you.”
-Nisargadatta Maharaj
More and more, be fully attentive.
Awareness and thought cannot coexist. So when aware, you cannot worry.
Becoming self-aware turns off your mind, and with it, your problems.
Gaining stability in awareness improves everything. Awareness will run your life, if you let it.
Once you know how to do something, anything, the best way to do it: give it your full attention. Thinking, rather than paying attention to what is happening, is the sole cause of errors and failure.
This changed me radically: When fully attentive, no task is difficult.
Because awareness is inherently peaceful—and who doesn’t want to feel more peaceful—reminding yourself to be aware becomes less necessary with practice.
I’m a relentless experimenter. And I’ve found that the best way to be is fully aware and WIDE OPEN to what each moment has to offer.
