Eliminate The Unnecessary
“Besides the noble art of getting things done, there is the even nobler art of leaving things undone. The wisdom of life consists in the elimination of non-essentials.”
-Lin Yutang
Most thoughts are unnecessary.
Awareness effortlessly eliminates the non-essential. The mind’s grasping and clinging tendencies are absent in silent awareness.
When aware, each moment will relay what to do or what to leave undone, effectively eliminating the unnecessary.
What you don’t object to cannot affect you. No matter how terrible a situation seems, fighting it or resisting it in any way only makes it worse.
Lin-Yutang
Don’t think about what isn’t happening.
Become more aware of unnecessary thoughts. For instance, you’re putting dishes away, and you notice a thought that was not related to what you were doing.
Total observation replaces the energy-wasting process of decision making with direct action. Observe that reality when you are behind the wheel.
Watch your mind, the more, the better. The elimination of crippling thoughts is the natural result of becoming more aware of them. As the internal dialog is increasingly recognized for what it is: debilitating, it is abandoned, without any effort on your part.
What is going to happen will happen. So why worry?
Be powerfully present and know you cannot be disturbed.

Thanks for coming in.
