I’ve recently awoken to the beauty of my laptop’s escape button. A variety of temporary functions can be reversed or undone by clicking it, which efficiently returns me to the previous state.
Attention is your mind’s escape button.
In the midst of disturbance, smile, and shift attention to awareness itself. And what appears? Happiness. Which is always present—and is what you are—prior to disturbance.
