Find Out For Yourself

“When you have a problem, see if you can find out for yourself why you have a problem.”
 -Shunryu Suzuki

When you have a problem, more than likely desire is involved: You want something that cannot be changed to not be as it is.

If you clearly know that all problems are created by thought, do you know that thinking is optional?

The ability to consciously direct attention is our greatest asset.

Each time you catch yourself wanting something to not be as it is, pause, and, know you are breathing in, and when breathing out… Let it go.

Develop a mind that notices, but doesn’t compare.

In your spare time, examine the relationship between comparison and desire.

“What problems can there be that the mind did not create? The solution to problems begins with the cessation in believing in the content of one’s thoughts.” -Wu Hsin
