Here And Now

“You are the Self, here and now. Leave the mind alone, stand aware and unconcerned and you will realize that to stand alert but detached, watching events come and go, is an aspect of your real nature.”
-Nisargadatta Maharaj

The mind is nothing but conditioned, second-hand knowledge.

And anything known with the mind is a dualistic knowing: “I” see “that.” Or, “I” wish “this” wasn’t like it is.

For centuries, Zen and Advaita Vedanta masters have dedicated their lives to pointing out that reality, not personal or conditioned reality, but reality itself, is “not-two.”

Pure awareness, or self-awareness, is non-dual.

To be in accord with reality, and thus be naturally happy, rest in the silent awareness that is always present before thought movement.

To be aware, without evaluating, is all you need.
