Knowing
I was pondering this quote from Tsoknyi Rinpoche (above)…
“The correct way of practicing is mentioned in all the vehicles, it is knowing whether there is thought movement or stillness. It is this kind of one-pointed attention that eventually allows the dividing line between thought movement and stillness to fall apart.”
… When I realized for the first time, that in the “falling apart”—there are not “two things” known.
Whether there is the knowing of thought movement or the knowing of silence, it is the same knowing.
Before a thought appears, knowing is always present.
Knowing is ever-present. Knowing doesn’t depend on anything; it doesn’t come from anywhere; it doesn’t go anywhere.
Rest in silent knowing, in which there are no problems.
