Leave Your Mind

“Leave your mind alone, that is all.”  -Nisargadatta Maharaj

To “leave your mind alone”: Be aware of your mind. Know whether there is thought movement, or stillness.

Don’t care—don’t judge thought movement as bad and stillness as good—just be the knowing.

Test this out: When you know you are silently aware, is anything wrong? If you think there is, you were not silently aware.

Mentally, there is nothing better… Throughout the day, remember to pause for a few moments, and silently appreciate the feeling of being. The feeling of being alive, of being present, of being here and now … whichever works for you.
