Nothing is as it Seems

“Nothing is as it seems.
The common view is that
There is a subjective observer
Observing an objective world;
The former separate from
The latter.
Nothing is as it seems.”

-Wu Hsin

We think problems into existence.

Very little, however, if anything, is how you think it is.

Thinking becomes a problem when we add importance to thoughts. You make something important by caring, when you care about the outcome of anything. So the less importance you add an idea, thea better.

Thinking is helpful to live and function. To live peacefully, let go of ideas about how things should be.

“Very little is needed to make a happy life. It is all within yourself, in your way of thinking.” -Marcus Aurelius

The Zen koan, or question, “Who am I?,” reveals unknown ideas that mentally bind you.

Repeatedly, ask “Who am I?,” and remain in the silent awareness that immediately follows the question. Awareness delivers insights that will fundamentally change you.

“It’s in silence where pure awareness reveals itself to you. Never be afraid to sit in the silence. It’s your greatest asset.”  -Robert Adams

Things are as they are. Let things be as they are, and enjoy the peace which that reveals.
