The Problem

“I am … a phantom in a box, a shadow in your head.” -Rob Zombie

Everyone on the planet is born into confusion.

Our conditioning—which we naturally accept as a child but seldom question as an adult—creates all human difficulty.

From birth, we are conditioned by our parents, teachers, and culture to believe that we are, in addition to being human: black, white, asian, etc.

Because we identify with our conditioning—unknowingly—it governs how we live.

The global problem is personal identification with false conditioning.

You are not white or black, American or European; you are human. Everyone makes their first appearance as a human.

Due to different religious, political, and cultural beliefs, humans have been slaughtering each other for thousands of years. Human destruction from race discrimination has continued since the beginning of false conditioning.

All individual, cultural, and political distinctions are added to humanity.

“What I teach people just requires you not to take on the confusion of others.” -Lin-chi

Which means: Do not accept the beliefs of others. Refuse to believe that you are what you were told you are.

Belief is extra, in that belief does not inhabit experience. Does a tree require belief to thrive?

Belief is not required to know you exist. Prove it to yourself. Inquire: In each moment, find what does not require belief to be experienced.

Be absolutely silent. In that silence, feel what you are: the sense of being that is, without belief, perfect.
