The Triple A’s of Success

My dear friends Mr. Davis and Sara, immediately after their wedding in Cabo, Mexico.

“Just be aware; that is all you have to do, without condemnation, without forcing, without trying to change what you are aware of.” -Krishnamurti

Awareness is transformational. Being aware of thoughts creates the option to act on them, or let them go.

Manage each moment with the “Triple A’s”: Assess And Adapt.

Assess: Was that thought helpful? No. Action: Let it go.

Assess: Was that thought helpful? Yes. Action: Do it.

Without the option to pause and assess—provided by awareness—we are crippled by unknown thoughts.

Apply the Triple A’s to every thought you notice, and living simplifies itself.

Useless, energy-draining thoughts are always about what isn’t happening. As that habit is revealed in attention, clarity is restored as useless thoughts naturally subside.

“Today, in your various activites, is there anything you lack?”  -Lin-chi

When you are aware, living—both mentally and physically—takes care of itself.
