The Way Out
“What is it that is silent? Look into it by examining awareness.”
-Krishnamurti
A rarity, from Krishnamurti… In that he hints at our true nature, or, what we actually are.
Without comparing, awareness knows.
Therefore all the mind diseases produced by comparing, such as desire, regret, and resistance to any experience, are absent in awareness.
It is attachment to a comparison, however—you care about it: I wish this wasn’t how it is—that produces suffering.
The way out is simply to be more aware, moment to moment, of your mind.
Whatever you are aware of perfects itself.

“When the realization came that the mind could observe itself, there were no distracting thoughts.” -Krishnamurti
