“Sense-perceptions can only be indirect knowledge, and not direct knowledge. Only one’s awareness is direct knowledge.”
-Ramana Maharshi
All thought is indirect, or second-hand knowledge. “Second-hand,” in that you were not born thinking and caring about everything.
Daily, set aside some time to rest in direct knowledge: silently, know you are aware. It is the feeling that you are.
Test this out: Know you are aware without objecting to anything you are aware of.
In that state, how are you?
Stabilize in the knowing essence: the feeling of simply being aware—and the mind, with all its problems, literally disappears.
